When couples first reach out, they’re usually thinking about venues, colors, and how excited they are to marry their person… not about timelines. And that makes sense! Your wedding day should feel joyful, not like a production schedule.

But here’s something I’ve learned after more than 25 years of photographing weddings: a thoughtful timeline is what allows your day to feel relaxed, natural, and actually enjoyable.

This is why timeline planning isn’t an add-on service for me, it’s built into how I care for my couples from the very beginning.

My Experience Is Part of What You’re Hiring

When you book me, you’re not just getting someone to show up with cameras. You’re getting 25+ years of real wedding experience, hundreds of timelines that worked beautifully, and plenty that taught me what not to do.

I’ve seen:

  • Days that flowed effortlessly because there was breathing room
  • Days that felt rushed because no one built in transition time
  • Lighting that made moments magical (and lighting we had to pivot around)
  • Family dynamics, travel delays, dress challenges, weather surprises — you name it

I use all of that knowledge to help you create a plan that supports the experience you want, not just a list of times on paper.

Photos Aren’t the Most Important Thing — But Time Matters

I will be the first to say this: your wedding is not about the photos.

It’s about your marriage, your people, and the moments you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

But if you’re investing in photography, we want to make sure we give ourselves enough time to capture those moments without stress. The best images happen when you’re not rushed, when you can be present, and when the day has space to unfold naturally.

A well-built timeline gives you:

  • Time to actually enjoy getting ready
  • Space for genuine moments (not forced ones)
  • Flexibility if something runs late
  • The ability to be present instead of watching the clock

We Start Talking Timeline Earlier Than You Expect

We don’t wait until the last minute to figure this out.

We begin discussing your timeline as early as your pre-booking consultation. That’s when I start learning what matters most to you and how you envision your day feeling.

From there, we’ll connect at least two more times before the wedding to review details, adjust as plans evolve, and make sure everything still supports your priorities.

By the time your wedding arrives, we are completely aligned — no guessing, no scrambling.

On Your Wedding Day, I Help Keep Things On Track

Here’s the truth: wedding days almost always run behind at some point. And that’s okay.

Because part of my role is helping the day gently get back on track without adding stress. I pride myself on being efficient, calm, and solutions-focused so you never feel rushed, just guided.

Sometimes that means:

  • Streamlining family photos
  • Adjusting locations for better light and timing
  • Communicating with planners and vendors
  • Knowing when to move and when to pause

You don’t have to manage the clock. I’ve got that covered.

I’m Here for More Than “Just Photography”

If you need help pinning a boutonniere, finding your people, calming nerves, fixing a timeline hiccup, or simply taking a deep breath — I’m there.

My goal is for you to feel supported, comfortable, and fully present throughout your wedding day.

Because when you feel taken care of, everything else falls into place.

A Great Timeline Creates a Better Wedding Experience

The best wedding days aren’t the ones that are packed tight. They’re the ones that feel intentional, relaxed, and full of space for real connection.

A strong timeline allows:

  • Natural, emotional moments
  • Beautiful light and unhurried portraits
  • Smooth transitions between events
  • A day that feels like yours — not a schedule you’re racing through

Let’s Build a Day That Feels as Good as It Looks

My job is not just to document your wedding, but to help shape a day where you can actually live it.

When we work together to create a thoughtful timeline, you get more than beautiful photographs. You get a wedding day that feels calm, meaningful, and truly unforgettable.

If you’re planning your wedding and want guidance from someone who’s helped hundreds of couples navigate this process, I would love to connect and start building a plan that fits you.
