Cole’s senior photos took place in the Des Moines area, and from the very beginning, our goal was simple: create a session that felt true to who he is. No overthinking, no forcing anything — just a relaxed experience that reflected his personality, interests, and this milestone moment.
A Senior Session Designed Around You
One of my favorite parts of senior photography is getting to personalize every session. For Cole, that meant bringing in two things that matter to him most: soccer and his favorite color. Those details might seem small, but they make all the difference in creating images that actually feel like you when you look back on them years from now.
We intentionally mixed up locations during his session — starting with his high school soccer field to capture something more personal and meaningful, and then heading to a nature-based setting for a classic, timeless feel. That variety allows seniors to walk away with a gallery that feels complete and uniquely theirs.
Photographing Milestones for Families I’ve Known for Years
I’ve known Cole’s family for a long time, which made this session especially meaningful. Getting to photograph milestones like this — watching kids grow up and capturing these big seasons of life — is such an honor. Sessions like these are the reason I love what I do.
