A step-by-step look at our Kansas City & Des Moines senior photo experience

If you’re a Kansas City or Des Moines high school senior (or senior parent) starting the search for senior photos, welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. At maggieGphoto, senior photography is about more than just great photos. It’s about creating an experience that feels personal, stress-free, and genuinely fun from the very first inquiry.
Whether you’re planning senior pictures in Kansas City or senior photos in Des Moines, here’s exactly what you can expect when you inquire with maggieGphoto.
1. You officially inquire on our website
It all begins when you fill out the inquiry form on our website. This lets us know you’re interested in booking senior photos in Kansas City or Des Moines, and gives us the information we need to get started.

2. You’ll receive our Senior Brochure from Bridget
After your inquiry, Bridget (my right-hand girl and organizational wizard) will send you our Senior Photography Brochure.
Inside, you’ll find:
- All of our Kansas City & Des Moines senior session options
- What’s included with each session
- A chance to tell us which sessions you’re interested in
- Space to share more about the senior — personality, interests, and overall vibe
This helps us begin designing a senior photo experience that feels completely custom.

3. Optional call with Maggie
At this point, you’re welcome to schedule a phone or video call with me. This is not required before booking, but it can be especially helpful for families booking senior photos for the first time.
These calls are a great way to:
- Make sure I’m the right photographer for you
- Talk through session options
- Ask questions and feel confident moving forward

4. We choose your senior session date
Once you’ve chosen your session type, Bridget will help you select the perfect date for your Kansas City or Des Moines senior session. She’ll guide you through availability and make scheduling easy.

5. You officially book your senior session
After your date and time are selected, Bridget will send a proposal that includes:
- Your invoice
- Your contract
- A secure payment link
To officially book your senior photos, we need:
- A retainer payment ($100, or $500 for All-Inclusive sessions)
- A signed contract
Once those are complete, your senior session is officially reserved.

6. Senior questionnaire + senior guide
After booking, you’ll receive:
- A Senior Questionnaire
- Our Senior Session Guide
The guide walks you through what to expect, outfit tips, and location ideas for Kansas City and Des Moines senior photos.
The questionnaire helps us start planning locations, outfits, and overall session flow.

7. Optional senior planning call
Once your questionnaire is complete, we can schedule another call to finalize details. While optional, this call is incredibly helpful for:
- Creating a timeline
- Finalizing photo locations
- Talking through outfits and styling

8. Pinterest board collaboration
Next, we create a shared Pinterest board. Bridget and I will start it based on your questionnaire and planning call, and you’ll be added as a collaborator so you can customize it to reflect your senior’s style.

9. Final details + payment plans
Outfits and locations can be adjusted up until the week of your session.
Final payment is due one week before your senior session, and we’re always happy to offer custom payment plans if needed.

10. Senior session day
On the day of your session, I’ll meet you at your first location in Kansas City or Des Moines, and from there I’ll guide you through posing, movement, and transitions so everything feels natural and fun.

11. Sneak peeks + gallery delivery
After your session:
- Sneak peeks are typically shared on Facebook within 48 hours
- Your full senior gallery is delivered within two weeks
No long waits — just beautifully edited senior photos you can enjoy right away.

12. Albums, grad cards & add-ons
After gallery delivery, you can:
- Purchase additional images
- Design graduation announcements or grad cards
- Create a senior album with Bridget’s help

If you’re searching for a Kansas City or Des Moines senior photographer who values connection, organization, and personalization, we would love to work with you.
From inquiry to gallery delivery, our goal is to make senior photos feel exciting, effortless, and meaningful — every step of the way.
